We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Weston, WI.
Impact
Completing repair activities on generators or components
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of service
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
Responsibilities
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
Basic Diesel Engine experience.
Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
Qualifications
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Prior experience preferred
A CDL may be required upon hire
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
Current valid license is required for this role
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $23,000 - $26,000 per year. Additional benefits include 401(k) retirement plan, cash balance pension plan, medical/dental/life insurance, health savings account, domestic partner coverage, and full complement of benefits.
Education and Licenses Required: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
