Overview Transporter Fabricator – Phase I at Evolve Transporters. High‑end custom fabrication company serving top motorsport teams and brands across Indianapolis, IN and Cleveland, OH. The role reports to the Phase I Foreman.

Location Painesville, OH

What You Can Expect In This Role As part of the Phase I Team, you focus on structural foundation and heavy fabrication stage of motorsport transporters. Working from blueprints, drawings and layout instructions, you fabricate, weld and assemble the chassis, frame, skin and exterior mechanical components. Precision and accuracy are critical to ensure every transporter begins with an excellent final product.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble chassis, frames and body structures using raw steel and aluminum materials.

Perform fabrication, mechanical work and MIG welding operations to assemble major structural components.

Measure, cut, bend and grind materials to precise tolerances using appropriate fabrication equipment.

Install mechanical systems such as axles, wheels, tires, brakes and suspension components to make the transporter mobile.

Cut and prepare openings for doors, windows and slide‑out mechanisms.

Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely and effectively (press brakes, shears, saws, grinders, cranes, forklifts, etc.).

Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings and fabrication plans.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.

Work collaboratively with other team members to transition the completed structure into Phase II.

Accurately sign out all required inventory materials and hardware to the correct project.

Maintain appropriate documentation of projects.

Maintain a good working attitude and cooperate with peers in a positive spirit of teamwork.

Any other tasks or projects assigned by the Phase I Foreman.

Top Skills

Heavy metal fabrication experience (steel and aluminum) with strong MIG welding experience.

Proficient with cutting, measuring, bending and grinding heavy materials.

Familiarity with chassis assembly, mechanical systems and vehicle mobility components.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and build plans accurately.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and a focus on precision and quality.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment.

Team‑oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in shop settings.

Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Ability to work in confined spaces, off ladders and moderate heights.

Preferred Experience

College coursework, technical training or certifications in metal fabrication, welding or mechanical assembly.

Background in custom vehicle, motorsport, marine, or luxury RV manufacturing a plus.
