Brief Description Transporter Fabricator/Finisher – Phase II

Evolve Transporters is a high-end custom fabrication company with locations in greater Indianapolis, IN and Cleveland, OH. Our clients are some of the biggest motorsport teams and brands in the world, for which we assist in designing and fabricating race transporters. We have a sharp focus on client satisfaction and a desire for continued innovation.

This position reports to: Phase II Foreman

Location: Painesville, OH

What You Can Expect In This Role

As part of the Phase II Team, you will focus on the fit, finish, and detailed systems integration of custom motorsport transporters. This phase focuses on the completion and detail work of the transporter production including precision fabrication, mechanical assembly, and installation of various systems including fixtures, lighting, air and plumbing, and IT systems to achieve the refined, luxury product our clients expect. You’ll work independently or collaboratively to bring design concepts to life—transforming fabricated shells into beautifully finished, functional interiors.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and install interior systems and components including cabinetry, fixtures, air and water lines, and mechanical hardware.

Perform detailed finish work with precision and craftsmanship—ensuring clean lines, tight tolerances, and premium-quality presentation.

Assist in light welding or fabrication tasks as needed (MIG/TIG, 16ga–12), though primary focus will be on assembly and fit-out.

Integrate mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems in collaboration with other departments including Engineering, Design, Electrical and Woodshop.

Accurately read and interpret drawings, layouts, and design specifications.

Operate a wide range of shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently (saws, drills, grinders, hand tools, man-lifts, forklifts).

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Collaborate closely with peers and leadership to deliver on project milestones with precision and pride.

Accurately sign out all required inventory materials and hardware to the correct project.

Maintain appropriate documentation of projects.

Maintain a good working attitude and cooperate with peers in a positive spirit of teamwork.

Any other tasks or projects assigned by the Phase II Foreman.

Top Skills

Proven craftsmanship in precision interior fit and finish work.

Experience with plumbing and mechanical systems, particularly air and water lines.

General fabrication and mechanical assembly skills.

Mig and Tig welding experience.

Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.

Excellent attention to detail and passion for quality workmanship.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-quality production environment.

Strong teamwork and communication skills with a solution-oriented mindset.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in shop settings.

Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Ability to work in confined spaces, off ladders, and moderate heights.

Preferred Experience

College coursework, technical training or certifications in fabrication, mechanical systems or finish carpentry.

Background in custom vehicle, motorsport, marine, or luxury RV or marine build-outs a plus.
