Position Overview Kiewit Industrial Group is looking for a MEP Project Manager that can lead projects exceeding $500 million for vertical buildings in the Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) markets of semiconductor, data center, and battery manufacturing facilities. Duties include leading a team of estimators, participating in and implementing win strategies, preparing conceptual estimates using historical and current market data and metrics, presenting estimates to executive management and clients, reading and interpreting documents, soliciting subcontractors, analyzing drawings and specifications, providing lowest‑cost design options for the lowest‑cost installation of construction, value management, reviewing and assisting with proposals, and other duties required to prepare cost estimates/proposals for various types of work, including self‑perform.

District Overview TIC is a Kiewit subsidiary that provides direct‑hire construction services for industrial projects. TIC Denver has projects in Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas Chemical, and Mining across the United States. Its projects range from small capital work up to major EPC projects. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry in an “open‑shop” environment.
Location This is a full‑time position supporting projects across North America. In this role, you will be required to travel to project locations for the duration of the project, as well as to Kiewit offices as required. Project location and durations may vary throughout the United States and Canada, and we provide relocation to longer‑term projects and per diem options for shorter‑duration projects.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance to estimators and engineers in the development phase of a collaborative contract model. Own the project schedule, scope, and budget for the project as it advances into construction.
Participate in task‑force meetings with designers and engineers and bring constructability to the project solution.
Develop the logic behind the project schedule (sequencing works/work breakdown structure).
Communicate and present details to executive management, permitting agencies, stakeholders, and owners; keep stakeholders informed of the project status through regular meetings and reporting.
Analyze drawings and specifications to evaluate risks and opportunities, engage with engineers to ensure design is on schedule, and interface with project controls/finance to keep the project on time and within budget while minimizing risk.
Review and assist with proposals with the BD team and work with the estimating team on various components of the work to evaluate the best value for money and options.
Support the selection of key subcontractors and trade partners for the project.
Demonstrate excellent collaborative behaviors in a multi‑stakeholder environment and foster a culture of innovation.
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering/technical disciplines and at least 8 years of Project Management experience for engineering/construction projects. If no degree, at least 12 years of PM experience on engineering/construction projects.
Ability to generate conceptual estimates for the Advanced Technology Facilities Construction market.
Ability to lead estimates and multiple matrixed teams of engineers, project controls, and schedulers assigned to your project.
Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time with a strong focus on quality, safety, and innovation.
Strong attention to detail; strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team‑building skills. Demonstrated success as a PM delivering projects on time and within budget while minimizing risk.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Able to demonstrate strong leadership ability, agility to work at all levels, and emotional resilience.
Other Requirements
Regular, reliable attendance.
Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
