Sheet Metal & Coatings Production Supervisor Wanted

Sheet Metal & Coatings Production Supervisor
immediately. You will work closely with other managers and company leaders, hearing your voice when decisions are made and programs implemented.
Base pay range $28.00/hr - $40.00/hr
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other team leaders on projects.
Understand workflow and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal fabrication, painting, and coating teams to ensure production goals are met.
Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and maintained in optimal condition.
Train with the Senior Production Manager to develop an understanding of company processes and best practices.
Produce estimation, quoting, and forecasting for assigned customer projects and new business.
Ensure production schedule and quality standards are met.
Identify process problems, troubleshoot causes, and develop solutions with management.
Use Lean Manufacturing tools to improve daily management practices and utilize new technologies as appropriate.
Apply specifications, drawings, and good manufacturing practices to support the team.
Prepare concise reports of performance documentation, reviews, and inspection results.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and ensure products meet specifications and coating standards.
Track productivity, scrap, and rework metrics; identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
Ensure adherence to ISO, OSHA, and environmental standards related to metal fabrication and coating operations.
Experience & Qualifications
General production leadership experience in manufacturing/fabrication industries with specific experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or powder coating operations.
Knowledge of fabrication, mechanical and related-process assembly.
Understanding of manufacturing processes.
Experience in manufacturing.
Ability to handle situations professionally and fairly.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, and manufacturing software.
Ability to delegate tasks to associates.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, methods, and practices.
Great communication skills, both verbal and written, to delegate to coworkers, interact with managers, and interface with customers.
Knowledge of OSHA safety workplace requirements.
Understand and perform in accordance with ISO quality management system.
Self‑motivated and able to operate independently.
Minimum high school diploma or GED; a technical degree or certification in Manufacturing, Welding, or Industrial Technology preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
