Base pay range: $28.00/hr - $40.00/hr.

Sheet Metal & Coatings Production Supervisor

Sheet Metal & Coatings Production Supervisor , you will focus on customer interface, collaborate with the Operations Manager and GM, and involve departments with the goal of improving execution, increasing output, and streamlining processes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other team leaders on projects.
Understand workflow and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal fabrication, painting, and coating teams to ensure production goals are met.
Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and maintained in optimal condition.
Train with the Senior Production Manager to develop an understanding of company‑specific processes and best practices.
Estimation, quoting, and forecasting for assigned customer projects and new business.
Ensure production schedule and quality standards are met.
Identify process problems, troubleshoot causes, and develop solutions with management.
Use knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools, methods, and practices as part of daily management practices and interactions, including discovering and utilizing new technologies as appropriate.
Understand and support the team with specifications, applying specifications, and drawing/reading drawings, along with knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
Prepare concise reports of performance documentation, reviews, and inspection results.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and ensure products meet specifications and coating standards.
Track productivity, scrap, and rework metrics; identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
Ensure adherence to ISO, OSHA, and environmental standards related to metal fabrication and coating operations.
Experience & Qualifications
General production leadership experience in the manufacturing/fabrication industries with specific experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or powder coating operations.
Knowledge of fabrication, mechanical, and related‑process assembly.
Understanding of manufacturing processes.
Experience in manufacturing.
Ability to handle situations professionally and fairly.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, and manufacturing software.
Ability to delegate tasks to associates.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, methods, and practices.
Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of OSHA safety workplace requirements.
Knowledge of ISO quality management system.
Self‑motivated and able to operate independently.
High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification in Manufacturing, Welding, or Industrial Technology preferred.
