Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of power and lighting circuits, service equipment and troubleshooting. Maintains and installs lighting fixtures, raceways, electrical devices and overcurrent protection. Including clocks, fire alarms and security systems. Familiarity with National Electrical Code and National Fire and Protection Codes. Responsible for maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems and inspections. Coordinates work with contractors as required. Available for emergencies and coordinates with school security and local law enforcement for security prevention and investigations and scheduled or emergency power outages. Other related duties as assigned. Job requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Journeyman electrical license preferred. Apprenticeship and/or documented technical training. Not less than five years experience in electrical maintenance and repair. Knowledge of tools of the trade, utilizing meters, bending conduit, wiring methods and operating aerial equipment. Knowledge of security and fire systems. Requires a valid Driver’s License. Position details
