Overview
Vehicle Technician - Painter role at Aertssen Group. Location: Tacoma, WA, 98421. Job Type: Full-time, Non-exempt (overtime eligible), 100% Onsite. Pay Rate: $31.00 per hour. Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. The position is part of the Paint team and focuses on repairing and restoring the exterior of equipment through cosmetic work to ensure machines are delivered in visually excellent condition and meet quality standards. Responsibilities
Cosmetic Repair and Paint Duties: identify and assess cosmetic damage on equipment (scratches, dents, rust); perform bodywork using filler, sanding, priming, and refinishing techniques; mix and apply paint, primers, and coatings using spray equipment and hand tools; ensure surface preparation and paint application meet quality standards; maintain detailed records of work completed through the app. Maintenance and Safety Duties: clean and maintain painting tools, spray booths, and work areas; safely handle and store paint, fillers, and other chemicals; follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations; coordinate with the paint team to ensure machines are ready for painting; assist in preparing equipment for painting, including masking and disassembly as needed. All work is carried out in accordance with the company’s quality, environmental, and health policies. Qualifications
Proven experience in automotive or industrial painting and bodywork. Strong knowledge of fillers, paints, solvents, and other refinishing materials. Skilled in sanding, prepping, masking, and finishing surfaces. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. Ability to work independently and follow technical guidelines. Awareness of safety protocols when working with hazardous materials. Proficiency in operating construction equipment, aerial work platforms, and forklifts is preferred. Adaptability to changing warehouse environments. A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Compensation and Benefits
