Position Summary MEP Project Manager will lead mechanical and/or electrical teams for large‑scale projects, overseeing all phases from pre‑construction through completion. The role is responsible for safety, quality, client relations, project budget, schedule, vendor management, and submittals.
Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate construction activities for mechanical and electrical industrial projects.
Lead project teams, including Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen, ensuring effective direction, coordination, and evaluation.
Establish and maintain liaison with prime clients to facilitate construction activities.
Develop project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
Prepare project reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
Monitor construction progress through administrative direction of on‑site Superintendent to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
Represent the company in owner progress meetings and manage financial aspects of contracts, responsible for project profit or loss.
Lead daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
Mentor and assist in career development of team members and perform additional assignments as directed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or construction management.
10+ years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
PE credentialing is a strong plus.
Strong understanding of safety laws, company policies, and industry practices.
Superior communication, interpersonal, and business‑oriented skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, direct work, appraise performance, reward/discipline, and resolve complaints and problems in accordance with corporate policy and applicable laws.
