Responsibilities
Prepare fresh food items daily for members by following recipes and preparing rotisserie chicken; assist with wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure freshness. Support customers and help them have a great shopping experience; balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized prepared foods area; ensure proper temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality products. Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food; maintain a safe, sanitized, and customer-ready area. Maintain the Sales Floor in accordance with company policies and procedures by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
What you’ll do
Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; and be flexible to work in other areas as needed. Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan for future and seasonal productions; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive area performance; manage stocking and rotation; ensure quality and date control; reduce waste; assist customers per company policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; maintain energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy; apply these in everyday business processes. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; seek improvements and adapt to change.
