Job Summary The Customer Service Associate works in support of the store management team to facilitate and perform a variety of tasks including customer service, food and beverage preparation, cash register duties, general housekeeping, and other related functions. The role involves delivering an exceptional customer experience that supports Wawa’s vision to fulfill lives every day.

Principal Duties

Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience. Respond to requests and complaints courteously, utilizing the GREAT customer service model.

Communicate customer requests and concerns to management.

Operate the cash register, scan items, handle payments, and assist with fuel and lottery transactions.

Comply with laws by requesting ID for restricted products.

Stock and refill products in various store areas.

Perform fuel transactions and monitor fuel activities.

Prepare made-to-order food and beverages per recipes or customer specifications.

Maintain food and beverage areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper stock levels.

Follow safety, security, and quality policies and procedures.

Complete store housekeeping tasks and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Functions

Ability to work independently and in teams.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to learn FSRA processes and procedures.

Flexibility to work overtime and in fast-paced environments.

Physical ability to stand, walk, handle, reach, bend, lift up to 35 lbs, and tolerate cleaning products.

Minimum age of 16 years old and reliable transportation.

Wearing slip-resistant shoes is required.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.
