As part of the produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; provide customer service; work flexibly in other areas as needed; track goods; maintain in-stock levels; control shrinkage. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality, trim, crisp, packaging, and sanitation; follow safety guidelines; comply with laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools. Be an Owner: Drive area performance; manage inventory; ensure quality and date control; reduce waste; assist customers per company policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics; adopt Open Door Policy in executing processes. Completes work by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.
