Transportation , you will be responsible for all inspection activities for the Construction Engineering & Inspection Group on Transportation projects. You will work directly with the Construction Manager(s) to adequately staff projects. **Key Responsibilities:**
Lead and mentor the Project Management Team to achieve operational and performance goals. Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of assigned projects. Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address on-site needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure full compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications. Support inspection crews in monitoring contractor workmanship and materials. Verify material testing results, pay items, and related documentation. Identify and resolve project conflicts or risks promptly, escalating major issues as needed. Review and evaluate change order requests for accuracy and necessity. Support business development by pre-selling future project opportunities. **Qualifications:**
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed as a Professional Engineer. 10+ years experience on Transportation projects. 4+ years supervising highway construction inspection staff. Ability to perform work on active job sites safely and proficiently. Professional representation of LJA and its clients.
