What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Develop customer-focused software, firmware, and hardware solutions for the Smart Trailer and Connected Equipment team
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to prioritize product development and maintain technical health
Mentor and support fellow engineers through design and implementation discussions
Champion Samsara's cultural principles while scaling globally and across new offices
Participate in customer interviews to ensure development aligns with customer needs and outcomes
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
Strong programming fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience building and shipping a 0-1 product with knowledge of scaling for growth
Familiarity with deploying machine learning models in production environments
Understanding of building for stability and responsiveness to customer feedback
Prior experience working with geolocation data
