Reliability Engineering Team Lead

Huntsman is seeking a Reliability Engineering Team Lead to support the Performance Products Division located in Freeport, Texas. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.
Job Scope This position is responsible for the overall mechanical reliability of the plant including both fixed and rotating equipment and provides oversight and direction for mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance resources. The reliability engineering function will partner with operations to identify and reduce production losses, high maintenance cost assets, and promote plant objectives in environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Huntsman mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering resources.
Assist with Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance related to mechanical integrity, engineering design, relief devices, process safety information, maintenance related procedures and document retention requirements.
Facilitate Reliability-Centered Maintenance studies to optimize preventative, on-condition, and failure-finding tasks; review critical spare parts and conduct criticality assessments throughout the plant.
Provide the production and process engineering departments with technical support regarding maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment; work with operators to maintain equipment in excellent working condition; serve as engineering resource for unit inspections and maintenance turnarounds.
Serve as incident investigation team lead; lead root cause activities for stationary and rotating equipment failures; report findings and recommended action items to management.
Act as liaison between Center of Excellence corporate engineering and plant; serve as project lead and site contact for corporate-driven reliability and mechanical integrity initiatives.
Maintain a list of bad actor equipment and monitor health after improvements.
Support capital project design and procurement from a RAMS2 standpoint.
Assist in maintenance, modification, or improvement of equipment including proper documentation and regulatory change management (MOC activities).
Act as contract coordinator for reliability services.
Responsible for monthly equipment Key Performance Indicator reporting.
Other General Responsibilities
Follow instructions and perform duties as assigned.
Assist employees in achieving Huntsman company goals.
Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
Require presence in the workplace regularly and ability to work extra hours if needed.
Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives set by the company.
Keep current with technical developments in the respective field.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation engineering with 10+ years of specific experience.
Prior leadership/team lead experience.
Experience with rotating equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering License.
RBI experience.
RCM experience.
Required Legal The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Effective verbal and written communication with work relations.
Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and dynamic organizational priorities.
