Payments Engineer
to join our team. This role ensures the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our
payment operations , providing both
technical and analytical support
across our engineering and finance teams. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth payment processes—monitoring transactions, identifying anomalies, and improving tools and workflows that support our
merchant and financial systems . This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of
technology, finance, and operations . Key Responsibilities
Manage and support
daily payment operations , including transaction monitoring, reconciliation, reporting, and ledger adjustments. Investigate and resolve payment issues
such as failed transactions, chargebacks, and returns, and identify root causes to prevent recurrence. Serve as a technical liaison between
engineering, finance, and operations
to ensure payment systems run seamlessly. Support engineering teams in maintaining integrations with
payment facilitators (PayFacs) , gateways, and banking APIs. Develop, document, and maintain
standard operating procedures
for payment workflows to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Contribute to
internal tooling and automation
to improve visibility, reconciliation, and reporting across payment operations. Ideal Candidate

SQL and dashboards
as you are with
logs and code snippets . You’re curious about how money moves—and passionate about making payment systems smoother, safer, and smarter. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science , or equivalent experience. Experience with
SQL
and data manipulation, including financial reporting and reconciliation. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills
with exceptional attention to detail. Hands-on experience with
DevOps or technical operations
in a SaaS or financial services environment. Proficiency with
git
and modern branching workflows. Strong
communication and documentation skills , with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Familiarity with
.NET, C#, and RESTful architectures . Solid understanding of
payment gateways
and
payment processors , including integration workflows and transaction lifecycle management. Experience with
ledger and accounting systems , including
balance sheet reconciliation
and
settlement processes . Knowledge of
financial operations , such as
chargebacks, payouts, and reconciliations
between internal ledgers and external processors. Working knowledge of
payment system architecture ,
APIs , and troubleshooting
production payment issues . Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
payment processors , merchant accounts, or multi-gateway environments. Familiarity with
Azure DevOps tools
and
agile delivery processes . Knowledge of
data security and compliance
best practices (e.g., PCI DSS). Background in
Payments, Fintech, Insurance, or Banking
