Position Summary We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities

Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.

Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.

Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.

Programming and installation of head end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems.

Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.

Lead the on‑site software commissioning and testing.

Lead inspections, evaluations, and inventory, performing take‑off project drawings.

Document and track RFIs.

Design assist and feedback.

Documenting daily reports and project progress.

Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.

Create and manage project schedule and integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.

Forecast and manage project labor hours; communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.

Guide and mentor technicians.

Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance required.

Key Requirements

Requires a valid driver’s license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.

Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy.

Education

High school diploma or GED; Military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or

Graduation from an accredited electronics technician program or

Graduation from an electrical apprenticeship program.

And an additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.

Required Progressive Experience

8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.

3 years of the above experience must be focused in electronic security systems.

Strong oral, written and presentation skills.

Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.

Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.

Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is a plus.

Must be able to travel 50%.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications

Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems: CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.

Abilities

The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to loading, unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in transportation of materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.

Relocates a 12 foot steadder without assistance.

Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.

Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.

Possesses good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.

May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.

Recognizes when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

Applies general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

Sees details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Listens to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Pay Range USD $36.00 - $60.00 /Hr.
