Role Details This role is slated to begin in February 2026 and is expected to be a 4-6 month assignment. This role will be located at the Woodland Wastewater Treatment Plant in St. John the Baptist Parish.

The Resident Project Representative (RPR) is responsible for oversight of construction activity and ongoing inspections of construction progress. The role works daily with the contractor(s) to review their work for quality and completeness and to make sure the project stays on schedule.

Day-to-Day Activities

Assist the Firm in observing progress and quality of the work.

Be the Firm's representative at the assigned site.

Report to the Firm when clarifications and interpretations of the contract documents are needed and transmit to the contractor clarifications and interpretations as issued by the Firm.

Conduct on-site observations of the Contractor's work in progress to assist the Firm in determining if the work is in general accordance with the contract documents.

Maintain at the site orderly files for correspondence, reports of job conferences, reproductions of original contract documents, including all change orders, field orders, work change directives, addenda, additional drawings issued, progress reports, shop drawing and sample submittals received on other project related documents.

Prepare a daily report recording the contractor's hours on site, weather conditions, data relative to questions of change orders, field orders, work change directives or changed conditions, site visitors, daily activities, decisions, and observations in general.

Review applications for payment with the contractor for compliance with the established procedure for their submission and forward with recommendations to the Firm.

Participate in visits to the project to determine substantial completion and final completion.

What We Are Looking For

Experience in construction management of public infrastructure projects

Technical degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program is preferred, but not required

Demonstrable experience in construction observation or experience related to utility, water, wastewater, drainage, earthwork, and roadway construction is preferred.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, etc.

Physical Requirements

Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols

Ability to reach with hands and armsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
