Contract Duration:
12 Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate:
$50-$53/hr on W2
Travel:
Occasional supplier site visits (no more than once per quarter)
About the Role
We're seeking a
Material Planner III
to join a Global Supply Chain Operations team responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of compute, storage, and AI hardware infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in managing material flow, optimizing supply chain performance, and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with hands‑on experience in materials planning, MRP, and supply‑demand management within the technology or hardware industry.
Key Responsibilities
Materials Planning:
Collaborate with ODMs, supply, and demand planning teams to ensure accurate material data and on‑time component delivery.
Risk Management:
Drive MRP readiness and mitigate risks related to material shortages and supply disruptions.
Partner Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and ODM partners.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Analyze and use data to improve supply chain processes and materials management.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and implement best practices.
Metrics & Reporting:
Develop and track KPIs related to material planning, PO placement, and supply chain performance.
Demand & Supply Analysis:
Interpret MRP and demand/supply reports to make informed procurement and planning decisions.
Prioritization & Adaptability:
Manage multiple tasks, pivot effectively, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
5–8 years
of experience managing ODMs, MRP, demand/supply planning, and shortage resolution for IT or hardware products.
Strong
leadership and communication skills
with the ability to lead external supplier partners.
Solid understanding of
procurement, operations, and supply chain management.
Proven ability to interpret MRP and supply/demand information and close supply gaps.
Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in
computer hardware manufacturing, production, or configuration.
Experience working across time zones with global teams.
Ability to quickly grasp hardware domain terminology and configuration concepts.
Hands‑on experience implementing process improvements, not just analyzing data.

Leadership skills to manage supplier partners and cross‑functional communication.
Broad knowledge of supply chain and procurement operations.
Proficiency in interpreting MRP data and resolving supply‑demand issues.
Interview Process
Rounds:
2 interviews (approximately 30 minutes each)
