Position Overview
Pay range:
PRN Rate: AM-$65, PM-$75
Shifts:

12 hr. AM and/or PM shifts

Job Highlights The APP position requires a certified NNP with BLS and NRP. Experience working in a Neonatal ICU as an APP or RN is strongly preferred. This is a PRN, non-benefited, 12‑hour shift position. The NNP will work with the attending, fellow, resident, and intern to care for patients in RNICU and CCN. The NNP will not have a dedicated patient group or progress notes but will assess patients, perform procedures, attend deliveries, read X‑rays, and input orders when needed.
Responsibilities Provide medical care and treatment to neonatal patients within the scope of practice under the direction of the collaborating physician or a board‑certified physician. Coordinate plan of care, discharge and specialty referrals, and health‑care education for patients, families, and other providers. Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments, interpret medical records and social data, assist physicians with procedures per collaborative agreement, and participate in performance‑improvement activities.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing with certified Neonatal NP.
Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or to be obtained within 30 days.
ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required.
