Position Overview

Pay range: $57,940 – $94,150 per year

Shifts: full‑time AM

Job Description To possess theoretical and technical knowledge in specialized fields of patient care and to perform services such as consultant, clinician, educator, researcher, and, as needed, program coordinator. To identify and recommend clinical standards/standards of practice for patient populations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Medical Dietetics, Dietetics, or a closely related field such as Food Systems Management (required). Master’s degree preferred.

Two (2) years of experience as a diabetes educator preferred.

Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Currently a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required).

Licensed as a Dietitian by the Alabama State Board of Examiners for Dietetics & Nutritionists (required).

Currently a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of employment.
