PRN Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - HealthPark Medical Center
Location: HealthPark Medical Center – 9981 S. HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 Department: Radiology – Ultrasound Work Type: PRN Shift: Shift 1 Pay Rate: $36.48 per hour Summary
Performs all diagnostic ultrasound procedures fixed and mobile according to the policy and procedures that are provided by the department. Assists the radiologist with designated diagnostic exams. Interacts with medical staff and other outside entities regarding ultrasound matters. Must be proficient in abdomen, obstetric, gynecology, small parts, and color doppler scans. Assists the radiologist in guided needle biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, needle biopsies, needle localization, and operating room cryoablations. General computer skills as needed. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participations in staff/student orientation training. Required to participate in "on call" rotation as determined per specific department needs. Requirements
Educational: Graduated from an accredited or ARRT approved ultrasound program. Experience: No experience required. State of Florida Licensure: None required. Certifications/Registration Requirements:
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Preferred: ARDMS (American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Additional: If graduated less than 12 months ago, must be registered within 12 months of hire. If graduated more than 12 months ago, must have at least one registry in either abdomen, OB, Neuro, MSK, or vascular.
