Automotive Mechanic – Mavis Tires & Brakes Put your career into high gear with Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices! We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Millville, NJ area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

About the Position As Mavis’s leader in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. Duties include undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, shocks, state‑mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, fluid checks, replacement of worn parts, and tire rotation, mounting, dismounting, and balancing.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age

Legal authorization to work in the United States

2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education, training and experience

Extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs

Preferred Qualifications

State inspection license(s)

ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)

Physical Requirements

Required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance

Must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds
