Qualitas is looking for talented Dental Hygienists to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you would fill in at the office with a schedule that works for you. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices. Duties Seat the patient and have the proper setup ready for the procedure. Review and update the patient s medical history, motivators, and concerns including blood pressure and enter in the computer capturing the patient s signature. Check the patient s progress and record the results on the patient s chart including: previous incomplete treatment plans, oral cancer exam, TMJ exam, occlusal classification, comprehensive periodontal exam and diagnosis. Take digital radiographs including vertical and horizontal bitewings, periapicals, full-mouth series as well as film panoramic, bitewings, periapicals or occlusals as needed. Take intraoral photographs to complete records and aid in treatment planning. Scale, polish, and apply fluoride. Root planing as appropriate treatment choice. Maintain the appearance, disinfection, and function of the hygiene treatment room, sterilization area, instruments, and trays. Sterilize, oil and sharpen the hygiene instruments, hand piece, and any doctor instruments. Continuously participate in CE to advance clinical/technology skills. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health. Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required. Familiarity with infection control procedures and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and work within a team environment. Ability to manage time efficiently while providing exceptional patient care.
