University of Nevada‑Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a full‑time Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. The role involves clinical care, teaching, and leadership in pediatric pulmonology.
Responsibilities
Provide quality inpatient and outpatient care to pediatric pulmonary patients from birth to young adulthood.
Offer clinical care at designated area hospitals including Sunrise/Children’s Hospital and UMC/Children’s Hospital, as well as at UNLV Health Faculty Practice clinic(s).
Participate in hospital, departmental, and university committees.
Engage in pediatric outreach activities and advocacy.
Support educational innovation and serve as a role model for team‑oriented practice.
Minimum Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA.
Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatrics and Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine prior to start date.
Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, pharmacy and DEA licenses, and malpractice insurance.
Ability to obtain hospital privileges at affiliated sites.
Experience in an academic medical institution or equivalent, with research and scholarly activity considered in rank determination.
Eligibility to obtain the required credentials and demonstrate competence for academic faculty appointment, promotion, and tenure per the SOM Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee.
