WV Departments of Health, Health Facilities, and Human Services . Minimum Special Hiring Rate: $40,702.00 Responsibilities

Under general supervision, perform work at full performance level in implementing and facilitating inmate programs. Assist with administering the inmate college program. Coordinate inmate‑based programming for all levels of inmates. Keep an up‑to‑date waitlist and enter all information into OIS. Perform inmate assessments and evaluations pertaining to inmate programming. Perform a full range of specialized tasks relating to programming for inmates. Rewrite any procedures that pertain to inmate programming (if required). Prepare a monthly report for the Associate Superintendent of Programs. May be required to travel to other facilities. Perform all other duties as assigned. Assist in security posts as needed. Salary and Benefits

In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5,000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility. Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service. If an employee is hired into a Critical Vacancy Pay Facility (CVPF) and leaves the facility, the additional pay differential of $5,000 shall be removed from their salary, unless transferring to another CVPF. Training:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field. OR

Additional full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of required training. Experience:

Two (2) years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid professional experience in a corrections, probation/parole, law enforcement, social work, recreation, religion or related behavioral or social science field. OR

Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of experience.
