Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment including electrical, braking, cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more. Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation. Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections. Communicate with clients to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve issues, and meet expectations. Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work activities and time allocations effectively. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks. Document work according to company standards and upload photos of work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application. Accurately complete DOT forms and other required documentation in a timely fashion. Work independently and manage daily schedule with high productivity, aiming to meet standard repair times. Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for repairs. Communicate with management and support teams via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers, and discuss RO findings. Perform all work in compliance with safety, health and environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ related experience. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties. OEM training and certifications are preferred. Participate in and complete all required company training. This position follows DOT FMCSA regulations; candidate must complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment. A current and valid DOT medical card may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical; if four months or less remain, a DOT physical is required. Interstate operating authority requires candidates be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license required and candidate must maintain a Driver Qualification File. Understand the implications of new information for problem-solving and decision-making. Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods; perform moderately heavy labor. Ability to work physically for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Effective two-way communication; convey information succinctly and clearly.
