Tri-Par Die and Mold Corporation is seeking a Mold Maker / Junior Mold Maker for the South Elgin, IL location.
Position Description 5+ years of experience in tool manufacturing, including both new construction and repair work. Knowledge of Conventional, Hot Runner, Two Shot, Unscrewing, Three Plate, and Unit Dies molds preferred.
Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Preferred candidates will have completed an apprenticeship in mold making and have college coursework related to the field.
Reports To Tool Room Foreman
Work Location South Elgin, IL
Work Hours First Shift: Mon – Fri, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (40–50 hours per week). Overtime may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Working knowledge of plastic injection molds.
Operate independently without direct supervision.
Troubleshoot and repair molds.
Perform mold changeovers.
Perform math, print reading, and CAD/CNC programming tasks.
Operate manual and CNC mills, EDM, and surface grinding equipment.
Conduct quality checks on produced parts.
Adhere to all safety rules.
Maintain a clean work area.
Attend work on designated shifts; punctuality is essential.
