Job Summary And Qualifications Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician II performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.

Responsibilities

Perform non‑sterile compounding.

Stock automated dispensing cabinets.

Prepare unit dose drugs.

Deliver medications to patient care areas.

Check medication storage areas for outdated items.

Complete billing duties.

May work in an IV room, controlled substance distribution and monitoring, automation, informatics, and medication reconciliation.

Qualifications

Cearified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA)‑issued Pharmacy Technician certificate or a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA)‑issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.

If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire date.

High school diploma.

Two years’ experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
