At The United Firm, we protect our clients’ rights and have a strong record of success built on lasting relationships. We are seeking an admitted attorney to join our team as an Immigration Attorney – EOIR. This hybrid position offers many opportunities for growth and valuable experience.
Responsibilities
Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
Represent non‑detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Manage caseload of cases
Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at centers
Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family‑based immigration petitions
Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments
Advise law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community‑based organizations on changes in immigration law
Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and develop strategy
Prepare and present clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
Provide legal analysis to determine possible case benefits
Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases
Qualifications
1–5 years of Immigration Law experience
Team player willing to collaborate with associates
Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish)
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Track record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload
Experience with family‑based petitions, humanitarian, EOIR, detained, citizenship, and other USCIS applications
Experience with case‑management software preferred
