Immigration Attorney – EOIR
Join The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC as an admitted Immigration Attorney – EOIR, reporting to the Sr. Associate Attorney. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage your caseload, engage clients, and collaborate with our Immigration Team.
Responsibilities
Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Manage a workload of cases and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers.
Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments.
Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law changes.
Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine necessary strategy.
Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
Provide legal analysis to identify potential case benefits.
Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
Qualifications
1–5 years of immigration law experience.
Team player who is collaborative and willing to help strategize with associates.
Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Track record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload.
Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian, EOIR, detained, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
Experience with case-management software is preferred.
