What part will you play? The

ESS Installation Superintendent

is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This key field position coordinates with project management, field superintendents and others to understand specific project roles, interprets drawing packages, and mentors technicians. Responsibilities include rack build‑outs, panel terminations, device installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining project schedules.

Responsibilities

Review the BOM at the beginning of every job and communicate material requirements to the Project Manager and Design Engineering team.

Keep the job within the scope of the given time frame; communicate delays to the Regional Supervisor/Project Manager/Program Manager.

Take ownership of job schedules and hold technicians/lead technicians accountable for work within the given time frame.

Maintain schedules and follow DIV28 specifications for quality control.

Maintain weekly communication with the Regional Supervisor and record milestones, work accomplished, project issues, and problems on OneNote.

Maintain a Site Readiness Document, Site Inventory, Redlines/RFIs, and communicate assistance needs.

Prioritize time properly and manage multiple sites simultaneously.

Delegate work to technicians/sub‑contractors and keep inventory records online.

Operate in a positive team environment to share knowledge and develop skill sets.

Complexity & Decision Making Both the technical and people skills required are at the highest level. This independent supervisory role often makes on‑site decisions on behalf of the PM and requires good diplomacy with clients and stakeholders.

Physical Demands & Travel The employee may spend at least 50% of time on feet, mobile around construction sites, climb ladders, use stairs and lift up to 40 lbs. Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are needed. Local travel is 70‑90% of the job; remote travel up to 30% may occur.

Safety

Maintain and wear appropriate PPE as required.

Ensure hazards are addressed and rectified in a timely manner.

Education & Certifications

High school or GED equivalent.

Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Lenel Certification, preferred.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Skills

3+ years of related experience with admin capabilities to keep up with day‑to‑day project requirements.

Knowledge of Teams, Outlook, OneNote, BlueBeam/Adobe Reader.

Ability to review and understand Matrix, Drawing, BOM List, SRD.

Experience with Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Honeywell, Software House, Bosch, DMP.

Mechanical retrofitting of door frames for electric locking hardware.

Understanding of network interface for device connection.

PC admin level changes for IP camera connection and camera alignment.

Clean driving record; clean criminal record; ability to hold security clearance/registration.

Active passport or ability to obtain and travel regularly.

Ability to lift 40 lbs; work indoors/outdoors; ladder use; standing/sitting.
