What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Design, build, and maintain components of the CI/CD platform to enhance deployment safety, speed, and reliability
Lead initiatives to improve automation, observability, and self‑service capabilities for engineers
Collaborate across teams to identify friction points in the delivery process and develop tools to resolve them
Evolve release architecture to support dbt Cloud’s multi‑cloud, cell‑based infrastructure
Continuously refine developer experience by improving build pipelines, release workflows, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices
What is Required (Qualifications)
Experience designing, operating, or improving CI/CD systems for large‑scale distributed applications
Proficiency with tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Kubernetes
Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code practices and principles of reliable, observable systems
Background in Python or another modern programming language for automation or platform tooling
Ability to work asynchronously as part of a fully remote, distributed team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with Kargo or similar progressive delivery systems
Hands‑on experience with multi‑cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Proven track record of enhancing developer productivity or release safety at scale
