Financial Due Diligence Manager
Join Grant Thornton (US) as a Financial Due Diligence Manager. You’ll focus on middle‑market transactions, serving dynamic organisations with experienced professionals who bring a full range of advisory services to validate, optimise and create value for the Transaction Advisory Practice.
Your day‑to‑day may include:
Manage financial due diligence professionals on buy‑side and sell‑side transactions for our client base which includes corporate clients, private equity groups and commercial lenders.
Manage engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinate other Grant Thornton capabilities by leveraging the expertise of other service lines, cross‑functional teams, and international colleagues as needed.
Plan, execute, direct and complete financial due diligence for financial and corporate strategic buyers from a variety of industries.
Examine and analyse client data to identify key trends, quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts.
Draft reports to socialise our findings around quality of earnings, networking capital and business performance along with insights around the key financial and business issues in a transaction.
Manage client expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables, deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls.
Recruit, manage, mentor and train senior associates and associates.
Assess performance of senior associates and associates for engagement and year‑end reviews.
Other duties as assigned.
You have the following technical skills, qualifications, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 6 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross‑industry clients at a national level required.
Industry recognised professional certification required, CPA or related licence/certification preferred.
Strong current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions required.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.
Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training and mentoring skills.
Excellent written, presentation, leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 25%.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's Los Angeles, CA office is between $138,200 and $207,400.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's San Francisco, CA office is between $147,200 and $220,800.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's Denver, CO office is between $128,000 and $192,000.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's Chicago, IL office is between $128,000 and $192,000.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's New York, NY office is between $138,200 and $207,400.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's Boston, MA office is between $138,200 and $207,400.
