About the Job
Manage the Spend Analytics function within the new TSSM Procurement Spend Management and Analytics team which supports the management of $4.7B sourceable spend and $325M savings target. Develop comprehensive analytics to support and guide procurement functions in category, vendor and process management. Act as a trusted partner to the TSSM Category and Operation Leaders by providing process improvement, vendor rationalization, business insights, and spend analytics. Develop, maintain, and govern the data quality of the procurement P2P data and Spend Cube, ensuring dissemination of complete and accurate sourcing data across Truist. Benchmark procurement operation performance against industry standards. Strong technical skills in SAS, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and data mapping are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a trusted partner to the TSSM Senior Leadership team by providing reporting and analytics support related to sourcing process, vendor contracting, category spend, rate harmonization, RFP analysis, and savings calculations.
Oversee the accuracy of the sourcing and spend cube, implementing quality checks to maintain data integrity and leading reporting enhancements.
Conduct category, vendor, and process analyses, applying analytical rigor in spend review, and develop recommendations and action steps for category and capacity planning.
Work closely with the Business Solutions team to automate reports, enhance existing dashboards, and support system and process transformation (e.g., Tableau and SAP Ariba Spend Management).
Develop and manage reporting production to support spend management programs, e.g., Travel, Contingent Workforce, Marketing, and Professional Services.
Demonstrate solid risk management practices and control execution to ensure known risks are appropriately managed and mitigated.
Establish and maintain relevant skillsets to act as a true Subject Matter Expert, effectively informing the TSSM SLT on their category and operation strategies and decisions.
Provide guidance to direct reports related to prioritizing work, enhancing data quality, following the data governance framework, and increasing the analytic support provided to the TSSM teams.
Champion best practice processes and benchmark operation performance metrics against industry standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management.
5‑7 years of experience in financial services, especially sourcing/procurement.
Excellent analytical skills, including expert-level proficiency in spend analysis tools.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Strong management skills with the ability to communicate requirements and drive improvements across functional teams.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office software and other business systems (Ariba, SAP, etc.).
Experience utilizing business intelligence/visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
MBA preferred.
Hyperion Essbase proficiency.
Procurement analytics experience.
Advanced graduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge of Sourcing and Spend Management Tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
Work Environment Regular, full-time, office based five days a week. Language Fluency: English (Required). Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America).
