Job Description Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Director, Procurement Advanced Therapies CCPM (3 year contract) located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ireland or Belgium. This role will provide leadership to strategize, identify, select, manage, align & implement global sourcing & supplier management strategies and network capabilities for Capital Construction & Project Management (CCPM / CAPEX) categories, with specific focus on supporting the Advanced Therapies (AT) global pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D site expansions.

In this role, the GCL CCPM and their team will work closely with our Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) function’s Engineering, Design & Project Delivery (E&PD) teams globally. E&PD teams lead the delivery of strategic capital projects and the CCPM team supports them as Procurement Functional / Business partners.

Leading a team of 3–4 experienced managers/senior managers, the GCL CCPM will be accountable for approximately $600 MM in annual capital spend for J&J Companies in Capital for Advanced Therapies.

Responsibilities

Develop & shape category & spend performance strategies utilizing all available capabilities & tools (category strategy, market intelligence, advanced sourcing)

Provide procurement leadership to business partners; connect resources and partner capabilities for key capital, growth, and pharmaceutical asset projects

Lead or collaborate with project teams comprising internal functions (Engineering, QA, SCM, Finance, Legal) and external partners, to design & execute sourcing, supplier selection, and supplier relationship initiatives

Develop cost improvement / avoidance initiatives through category strategies, sourcing, SRM and innovation for pharmaceutical sector needs

Contribute to J&J’s commitment to sustainability and emissions reduction in pharmaceutical operations

Build strong & sustainable relationships with market leaders in construction, engineering, validation, and commissioning relevant to pharma sites

Shape & enhance competence and capabilities of the team

Build a highly competent and diverse team of talents to partner effectively with business partners

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business, Engineering, Science); MBA or other master’s preferred

10+ years relevant professional experience

Exposure to Pharmaceutical Product Development, MedTech and/or global markets is desirable

Strategic procurement, sourcing, category and supplier management experience in the supply chain environment

Experience working with technical, supply chain and functional partners

Strong business and finance acumen, and experience managing impact in a complex matrix environment

Demonstrated team leadership, partnership, and cross‑functional project capability

Ability to engage, interact, and negotiate enhanced value relationships with suppliers

Experience in a regulated, complex stakeholder environment; rich influencing skills

Travel averages 20%, with periods of intensity

Base Pay Range $146,000–$251,850

Benefits and Compensation Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following company‑sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees are eligible to participate in the company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the company’s long‑term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time‑off benefits: vacation – 120 hours per calendar year; sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – 56 hours per calendar year; holiday pay, including floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year; work, personal and family time – up to 40 hours per calendar year; parental leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child; condolence leave – 30 days for an immediate family member; 5 days for an extended family member; caregiver leave – 10 days; volunteer leave – 4 days; military spouse time‑off – 80 hours.
