The Program Director or Program Manager is responsible for the management and the strategic growth of the Wound Care Program for the assigned area of responsibility. This position oversees the Wound Care Center, including day-to-day center operations, staff management, financial management, quality/performance improvement, and community education. The Program Director/Program Manager maintains collaborative relationships within and outside the hospital and builds effective working relationships between Healogics and the hospital.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Manages the Center’s Operations (20%): oversees day-to-day management of outpatient clinic(s) and other wound continuum programs; assesses clinic flows, processes, and procedures; implements improvements to enhance outcomes using the company’s resources; ensures resource availability; facilitates information flow and communication; directs the center and non-clinical staff; collaborates with health care providers and Medical Director; manages direct reports including interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, performance expectations, and reviews.

Performs Financial Management (10%): manages revenue cycle for Healogics and the hospital partner, stays current with reimbursement changes, reviews financial reports, tracks ancillary revenues, manages costs, and presents results to hospital leadership.

Manages Community Education / Marketing (40%): develops strategic marketing plans with hospital and Healogics marketing teams; coordinates activities to increase patient referrals; identifies target referral sources and builds relationships; maintains physician practice lists and documents physician interactions in the CRM; communicates goals and referral development information to executive sponsors as needed.

Manages Quality / Performance Improvement (10%): implements a continuous Performance Improvement Program; participates in hospital committees; ensures proper documentation and monitors satisfaction; ensures compliance with Patient Safety Guidelines and annual requirements.

Manages Relationships (15%): maintains relationships with the hospital client; aligns program goals with hospital objectives; builds relationships with panel physicians and staff; meets regularly with leadership; performs other duties as required.

Required Education, Experience and Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field preferred with 1 year of marketing/community education in healthcare or clinical operations experience

OR Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field preferred with 2+ years of marketing/community education in healthcare or clinical operations experience

OR High School Diploma with 4+ years of marketing/community education in healthcare or clinical operations experience

Management experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation abilities

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Strong customer service and follow-up skills

Strong organization, time management, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

Leadership and teaching skills; relationship-building and motivational abilities

Ability to work with Healogics and hospital management; budget and strategic planning skills

Ability to travel overnight

Compensation The salary for this position generally ranges between $83,800.00-$110,300.00 Annually. This range is an estimate based on qualifications, education, experience, geography, and other considerations permitted by law.
