in hiring a part‑time, weekend Optometrist to support the LensCrafters team in Boston. The role is a casual, part‑time appointment with flexible scheduling, ideal for an independent optometrist who can manage appointments on evenings and weekends.

Compensation is based on experience and includes a competitive base salary with the option for performance bonuses or commission plans.

Schedule Casual Part‑Time – 2 days per week, primarily evenings and weekends.

Location & Store Store # 001140 – LensCrafters, Main Street, Boston.

Role Overview As an Associate Optometrist within a LensCrafters subleasing practice, you will work under an affiliated independent doctor. You will have full professional autonomy, the ability to care for patients with a full scope of practice, and the flexibility to schedule part‑time commitments or add work to an existing practice schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high quality optometric examinations, prescription services, and patient counseling.

Use LensCrafters’ advanced digital eye examination technology, including Clarifye and the Daytona Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging System.

Maintain accurate patient records, coordinate automated online appointment book and patient recall system.

Collaborate with the Subleasing doctor to manage practice operations, including scheduling, billing, and inventory management.

Adhere to all applicable ethical, legal, and accreditation standards for optometric practice.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.

Valid state license in Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain one.

Experience with advanced imaging equipment and digital eye exams preferred.

Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a personalized eye care experience.

Ability to work independently within a private practice setting.
