Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician – General Practice

Las Vegas, NV Cheyenne West Animal Hospital is looking for a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. Train, coach, and supervise a team of technicians and assistants Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients Assist veterinarians and the medical team in maximizing productivity and maintaining positive patient flow Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians Monitor and assess patients' status Collect blood and other samples for testing Place catheters Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support Obtain health history from clients and maintain medical charts Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized Mentor and support fellow team members Experience & Skills Requirements:

Veterinary technician licensure required 5+ years of clinical experience 2+ years of supervisory/management experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited program preferred, or equivalent experience Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks throughout the day About the Hospital
