Matrix MKTG is looking for an Experiential Set Designer (ESD) who is a visionary creator responsible for transforming brand stories into a physical well-appointed space, the precision of an architect, and the hustle of a showrunner. You’ll design physical environments that turn brand strategies into emotional experiences—from luxe influencer dinners to high-octane music festivals and immersive brand worlds. What You’ll Do

Concept and design bold, story-driven brand environments that spark engagement and drive cultural impact Create renderings, sketches, and technical drawings that bring ideas to life—and get stakeholder buy-in Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and fabricators to ensure concepts align with marketing objectives and can actually be built Scout materials, develop build specs, and manage design documentation through to production Supervise on-site installs to ensure your vision is flawlessly executed, on time, and within budget Stay plugged into the latest trends in experiential, spatial, and environmental design—then push past them You’ve Got

5+ years in experiential, scenic, or environmental design (agency-side preferred) A portfolio that screams “wow”—including branded pop-ups, activations, VIP events, and immersive builds Fluency in 3D modeling and rendering software (SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, etc.) Strong chops in brand storytelling and translating strategy into physical space Killer time management and the ability to juggle multiple timelines without dropping the ball Bonus if you’ve worked in music, fashion, or cultural spaces and know how to design for relevance Nice-to-Haves

Experience managing freelance designers or build teams Familiarity with fabrication processes and vendor coordination Passion for integrating digital, tech, and sensory elements into physical builds Travel: 25–50% (You’ll be on the road, where the magic happens.) Why Join Us?
