Summary We are seeking a Product Development Director to spearhead our product innovation and development initiatives. This pivotal role balances meticulous market research with creative product ideation, working closely with carrier partners to conceptualize, price, and develop groundbreaking insurance products—including hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident products for individual markets—while ensuring seamless implementation through effective project management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct in‑depth market research to identify gaps and opportunities for new product development.
Generate innovative product ideas that align with market needs and company objectives.
Collaborate with carrier partners to assemble, price, and fine‑tune new insurance products, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, managing project planning, resources, and timelines.
Liaise with cross‑functional teams—marketing, sales, customer service—to ensure successful product introductions and market adoption.
Monitor post‑launch product performance, collecting insights to guide future enhancements and strategies.
Qualifications
Proven experience in product development within the ancillary benefits sector.
Strong understanding of insurance products, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully launching new products.
Strategic thinker who translates market research and customer insights into actionable product plans.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, working effectively with carrier partners and internal teams.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field (master’s preferred).
