Applicants must provide official transcripts and/or foreign degree evaluations. Initial salary placement will be at the first class/step until transcripts are received.
Major Responsibilities
Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
Teach all scheduled lectures and laboratory classes.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and assessments.
Make students available outside of class for academic support.
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
Adhere to professional conduct and ethics standards.
Create an environment that emphasizes teaching, learning, and free discussion of ideas.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution AND two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment.
Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution AND six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment.
Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
Desired Qualifications
Equivalency credentials; foreign degree applicants must submit professional evaluation by a NACES or ACEI member.
Commitment to diversity and inclusion of all students and staff.
Additional Information Applicants will be added to the adjunct faculty pool. The pool is reviewed annually; candidates not selected will receive an automated notice to re-apply.
