Our Bethesda Office is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with design experience in HVAC. You will be providing engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.

Job Summary The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects. You will be working on a collaborative design team, making a huge impact on our team's success!
Responsibilities
Develop the HVAC systems design of given project based on the scope of work and/or client RFPs
Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects
Perform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Manual J, and similar programs
Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
Write/edit project specifications
Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
Conduct code compliance research
Coordinate work with other disciplines
Provide construction administration services
Qualifications Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
A minimum of 8-12 years of design experience.
PE/EIT & LEED certification/experience is a plus.
Skills / Abilities
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Good communication and time management skills
Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team
Location REMOTE with visits to office as needed.
Compensation The expected base salary range for this role is $150-165K USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses, a signing bonus, and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package.
