GTM Talent LLC
Executive Recruiter | Helping Tech Startups Grow & Nonprofits Drive Impact
High-impact role at a small, fast-growing real estate investment firm focused on senior housing.
Company Overview
GTM Talent is partnering with a
fast-growing real estate investment firm
with a strong focus on senior housing. The company targets assisted living, memory care, independent living, and CCRC assets — a sector defined by powerful demographic demand and operational complexity.
While senior housing is the core strategy, the firm also evaluates select opportunities across other real estate categories when they align with its investment approach.
This is a
small, high-energy team
where every hire matters and where people have true ownership. The environment is collaborative, analytical, hands-on, and built for individuals who want to make a visible impact on a platform that’s expanding rapidly.
Role Overview
The Finance & Valuation Manager will play a critical role across the investment lifecycle — from underwriting and diligence through post-close financial oversight. This is a
broad, high-impact role
that blends analysis, valuation, accounting review, and project management.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, influence investment decisions, and help shape the financial backbone of a platform that is scaling quickly.
Hybrid role: approximately four days per week in the Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Deal / Investments
Lead financial due diligence and review of audits, historical financials, and tax filings.
Evaluate performance trends, value drivers, and risks for potential acquisitions.
Build valuation models and scenario analyses to inform investment decisions.
Partner with accountants, advisors, and operating teams to validate key assumptions.
Post-Deal / Asset Management
Manage the flow of financial information across internal and external teams.
Track actual vs. forecast performance and update valuation/tracking models.
Support budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial governance.
Communicate findings with the project team and adjust assumptions as needed.
Oversee ongoing financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in finance, valuation, investment operations, or accounting.
Experience reviewing or auditing financial statements (public accounting preferred but not required).
Strong Excel/modeling skills and the ability to interpret financial statements.
Real estate experience required; senior housing experience strongly preferred.
Thrives in a small, fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
What’s In It for You
Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus.
Direct exposure to deal flow and firm leadership.
A seat with
exceptional visibility and responsibility
across finance, valuation, and operations.
Ability to influence the growth, structure, and success of a platform on the rise.
A chance to leave a meaningful mark — not just fill a role.
