Responsibilities
Lead the tactical and operational design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of client benefit plans.
Manage a book of business generating at least $1M in revenue.
Conduct policy activity and stewardship across the assigned book.
Analyze and report on claims data, spotting trends and comparing client data to industry benchmarks.
Ensure client compliance with ACA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable laws.
Provide training and mentorship to the Client Executive Team.
Maintain accurate and timely client interactions and documentation.
Identify opportunities for additional lines of insurance and recommend changes at renewal.
Adapt to changing priorities and continually improve processes.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
State insurance license(s) as required by the State Department of Insurance.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred).
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), SPHR, or PHR (preferred).
Minimum seven (7) years of insurance/benefits experience, including leading a client management team.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Collaboration and adherence to ethical standards.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Ability to learn firm and insurance company software systems.
Technical & System Skills
Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Publisher.
Working Conditions
Fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Some travel required.
Hybrid position in Leesburg, VA or Bethesda, MD.
Salary & Benefits Starting salary $135,000+ and negotiable at offer. Hybrid work arrangement available.
Location Leesburg, VA or Bethesda, MD – Hybrid position.
