Keeping Pinterest Employees safe is our top priority. We’re looking for an experienced Intelligence & Risk Analyst to join our Global Security and Safety team to identify, analyze, and assess threats and risks to the organization. This role supports senior management in making informed, data‑driven decisions to mitigate potential threats, ensure business continuity, and protect assets, people, and information. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data. This position can be based in San Francisco or Los Angeles and may require periodic travel up to 10% of the time.
What you’ll do:
Collect, analyze, and report on intelligence related to physical security, geopolitical, and reputational risks to Pinterest’s assets
Monitor open source and proprietary data streams to identify, analyze, and communicate emerging threats and trends relevant to the organization
Partner closely with Regional Security Managers and Security Operations Centers to provide intelligence support for Pinterest offices around the world
Conduct due diligence reports on vendors and other corporate relationships
Investigate Persons of Interest cases, including external threat actors and internal investigations, and coordinate with law enforcement and local authorities as necessary
Support the travel and event security programs with live monitoring, risk assessments, and tactical alerting
Provide real time situation reports, post‑incident reviews, and other intelligence support during crisis activations and incident responses
Share intelligence with cross‑functional teams, including Crisis Management, Trust & Safety, Communications, HR, Information Security, Legal, and others
Participate in reviews of tools, maintain intelligence collection processes and infrastructure, and stay abreast of new investigative and collection techniques
Qualifications What we’re looking for:
3+ years experience in intelligence analysis, risk assessment, or a related role
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international relations, or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external agencies
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience synthesizing information from multiple sources into concise, actionable insights for different audiences
Experience with conducting risk assessment, crisis management, and incident response at the site level
Experience using industry‑standard software tools to collect actionable intelligence and produce clear, concise reporting
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Ability to respond to security incidents after hours, on weekends, or holidays as necessary
Experience with GSuite applications
