ITA is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the team at ITA HQ, Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities
Serving as part of an agile development team, delivers an end-to-end data pipeline automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment for an existing Navy Customer.
Lead Code Design activities.
Contribute to the development of complex ML & data science based scripts, templates, and dashboards.
Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems.
Provide assistance with Enterprise Application Development.
Support compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering or related fields of Engineering, Mathematics and Data Science.
Relevant experience includes at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: algorithms; computer architecture; programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (for example- Advanced Statistics, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics).
Experience in Data Science software development.
Experience in Python development.
Experience in Oracle database development.
Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance
Desired KSAs/experience:
Knowledge of software engineering, specifically data science related to developing complex dashboard.
Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices.
Experience in AI and/or Modeling and Simulation.
Experience in development data pipelines.
Experience in software packaging.
Experience in Tableua and/or Microsoft PowerBI.
Scripting skills, including Shell Scripts.
Ability to work in an open team environment.
Security first mindset.
Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
