Responsibilities
Serve as part of an agile development team, delivering an end-to-end data pipeline automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment for an existing Navy Customer. Lead code design activities. Contribute to the development of complex ML & data science based scripts, templates, and dashboards. Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems. Assists with enterprise application development. Supports compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering or related fields of Engineering, Mathematics, and Data Science. Relevant experience includes a concentration of courses in foundational CS areas: algorithms, computer architecture, programming methodologies and languages, data structures, logic and computation, and advanced mathematics (e.g., Advanced Statistics, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics). Experience in data science software development. Experience in Python development. Experience in Oracle database development. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Knowledge of software engineering, specifically data science related to developing complex dashboards. Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices. Experience in AI and/or modeling and simulation. Experience in development data pipelines. Experience in software packaging. Experience in Tableau and/or Microsoft PowerBI. Scripting skills, including Shell Scripts. Ability to work in an open team environment. Security‑first mindset. Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
