Raytheon Intelligence & Space, Vision Systems (RVS) Systems Integration and Test Department is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer with expertise in airborne electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) surveillance and targeting sensor systems.
What Will You Do
Lead integration, verification and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing to support the delivery of EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems.
Collaborate with the Program Chief Engineer (PCE) and Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) in the development of product and sub-system requirements, IV&V plans, and production test design.
Lead the development and execution of the test architecture from bid through production, own the test system design, and collaborate with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve these goals.
Lead execution and procurement activities in support of the test factory.
Regularly partner with operations and manufacturing teams to enable efficient product flow, provide actionable metrics, minimize cycle time, and maximize yield.
Perform data analysis and modeling of test and product data.
Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related STEM discipline and a minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience. Relevant experience to include airborne and/or space EO/IR system test, integration verification and validation testing, product transition to production or relatable experience.
Experience performing and executing test methodology within an E/O system.
Experience in test methodology within sensors to include optical performance, analysis, and test verification for EO/IR Focal Plane Array sensor systems and/or relatable experience in development and production program.
Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with requirements test development, test analysis, derivations, verification and test validation.
Experience developing and/or executing factory test plans, procedures, and equipment to support an EO/IR Focal Plane Array sensor system and ROICs.
Analytical capabilities, or an ability to relate observed phenomenon back to first principals.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and be able to effectively communicate with Test Management, IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customers.
Prior experience with ROIC wafer probing, fabrication, integration, verification, and validation for a complex EO/IR system.
Experience with use of basic laboratory equipment; power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters.

Salary Range:
112,000 USD – 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
