Raytheon Intelligence & Space, Vision Systems (RVS) Systems Integration and Test Department is seeking an entry‑level Test & Integration System Engineer to support the integration, verification, and validation of EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems. We develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work closely with customers to ensure our products perform as intended.
Responsibilities
Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing for EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems.
Develop test plans and execute product test activities in support of engineering and production builds.
Apply engineering judgment and technical decision‑making within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities organization.
Generate requirements, test procedures, integrate new systems, perform system testing, and support lifecycle requirements for assigned program systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
Experience integrating firmware, software, and hardware.
Experience using laboratory equipment for design testing and troubleshooting (e.g., power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzers).
Proficiency in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to the start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience performing and executing test methodology within an EO/IR Focal Plane Array system.
Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols.
Analytical capabilities or ability to relate observed phenomena back to first principles.
Experience with instrumentation and large data set collection, including scripting or automation for data collection and analysis.
Salary Range USD 72,000 – 144,000. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on experience level. RTX considers various factors when extending an offer, including role responsibilities, function, experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
